Marketing Manager

Role overview

Vital Healthcare is recruiting an experienced marketing professional to take ownership of the marketing direction for its medical devices range in Ireland. This is a practical leadership role with responsibility for strategy, budget management, delivery, and commercial outcomes. It combines people management with hands-on execution, and offers strong ownership, close work with Sales and suppliers, and the chance to influence business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create and lead the marketing strategy and yearly plans so they support commercial goals.
• Oversee the marketing budget, making sure spend is prioritised well, return on investment is considered, and results are tracked.
• Manage and support two direct reports covering Product/Portfolio Marketing and Digital Marketing.
• Work in a player-manager capacity, staying directly involved in important launches, campaigns, and other initiatives.
• Drive product and portfolio marketing across the full lifecycle in collaboration with supplier principals.
• Work alongside Sales teams by providing tools, training, and campaigns that help improve selling effectiveness.
• Collect, review, and interpret marketing and business data to support decisions and show impact.

Experience and profile

• Substantial marketing experience in medical devices or a similar healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and deliver marketing strategy and control budgets.
• Good knowledge of the sector, including awareness of clinical and procurement settings.
• Comfortable collaborating across teams and working with Sales and supplier partners.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to convert data into practical insights.
• Previous people management experience and a strong player-manager approach.

Additional information

The job title may be adjusted based on experience and could be advertised as Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing.

The position comes with a high level of autonomy, visibility, and influence.
