Role Overview

This full-time, non-management maintenance position is based in Doha, Qatar, within the Engineering & Facilities function. The role focuses on keeping guest areas, building systems, and equipment operating safely and efficiently while delivering the service quality expected in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Duties

  • Handle guest repair requests promptly and work with guests or customers to resolve maintenance concerns.
  • Carry out preventive upkeep on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical-room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery visually to spot issues early.
  • Move and carry maintenance equipment such as tools and radios as needed.
  • Find, identify, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and building utilities.
  • Keep maintenance inventory updated and request parts and supplies when required.
  • Share daily work updates and open issues with other shifts using approved communication tools and standards.
  • Apply working knowledge, or build working knowledge, across air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, finish work, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building systems.
  • Complete surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repair, wood trim touch-ups, light bulb replacement, A/C filter changes, and full cleanup of the work area afterward.
  • Test, diagnose, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing fixtures such as toilets and drains, electrical items including lamps, switches, outlets, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, and internet devices.
  • Program televisions and complete general housekeeping and engineering inventory tasks.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout process before starting maintenance work.
  • Repair interior and exterior landscaping elements and outdoor sprinkler systems.
  • Use basic computer skills to enter air-handler schedules and adjust temperatures.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
