About the Role
Grill’d is entering an ambitious growth phase in 2026, with more restaurant launches, expansion into new parts of Australia, and a larger Drive Thru network. Backed by more than 21 years of business success and 175+ restaurants, the company is looking for a Junior Restaurant Manager to help lead teams, deliver standout guest experiences, and grow in a fast-moving, people-focused environment.
This position suits someone with strong energy, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine interest in developing as a leader within fast casual dining. You will support a culture that is purposeful, upbeat, and centred on creating memorable moments for team members, customers, and the community.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the Restaurant Manager to guide, motivate, and support the team.
- Stay actively involved in day-to-day service, from kitchen operations to floor execution.
- Maintain a high standard of guest experience, quality, and consistency across shifts.
- Work toward performance goals while helping the team improve and celebrate successes.
- Coach team members so they can build capability across different stations and responsibilities.
- Oversee safety, operational standards, and quality controls with attention to detail.
Training and Career Growth
The role includes an 8-week structured onboarding experience with leadership workshops and practical training designed to help you settle in quickly. Grill’d also offers progression opportunities into Area Manager and Restaurant Manager roles, positions within the Support Office, and pathways into restaurant ownership through the Grill’d Partner or Joint Venture Program.
Rewards and Workplace Experience
You can expect uncapped monthly bonuses linked to sales performance, flexible working arrangements, and a range of team benefits. These include free Grill’d burgers, wellness support through an EAP program, and a Fun Fund for team activities. The company also recognises achievements through events such as Hall of Flame trips to Bali, London, Singapore, or Cambodia, along with the G.O.A.T leadership conference.
Grill’d is committed to community involvement through initiatives such as City Support Nights and Local Matters, and it promotes an inclusive workplace that welcomes people of diverse cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
Application Process
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a phone interview. Candidates must have full working rights in Australia and be able to pass a National Police Check.
