Junior Entomologist

Role overview

A reputable pest management company in Doha is hiring a Junior Entomologist to support its expanding operations. The position is suited to a proactive professional with practical knowledge of pest control and a strong interest in delivering effective, science-based solutions.

Compensation

The role offers a monthly salary in the range of QAR 3,000 to QAR 3,500.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Entomology, Agriculture, Plant Protection, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Applicants should have at least one year of relevant experience in pest management or a similar field.
• Strong written and spoken English communication is expected; Arabic language ability will be considered an advantage.
• Having a valid Qatar driving licence will be treated as a plus.
• Candidates need to demonstrate solid analytical thinking, reporting ability, and problem-solving skills.

Key duties

• Visit client sites to inspect conditions and identify pest issues.
• Advise on the most suitable pest control approaches, including Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methods.
• Choose pesticides and treatment techniques aligned with accepted industry standards.
• Draft treatment plans, inspection documentation, and service recommendations.
• Use and recommend biological, physical, cultural, and chemical pest management methods where appropriate.
• Create tailored IPM plans for residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial customers.
• Assess existing pest control arrangements, identify gaps, and suggest improvements.
• Support supervisors and pest control technicians with technical guidance to improve service outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety practices, and applicable local regulations.
