Junior Criminal Analyst

Dynamis is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst to support a highly visible Homeland Security Investigations mission focused on protecting the U.S. workforce through Worksite Enforcement Unit operations. In this role, you will work directly with HSI special agents to examine I-9 employment records, business documents, and government data sources that help drive worksite enforcement investigations in the U.S. and internationally.

This is a fast-moving, detail-sensitive position where your analysis will contribute to Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other authorized enforcement actions. The role also provides exposure to federal law enforcement work, mentorship from experienced investigators, and room to grow into more advanced compliance and investigative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review employer I-9 forms, payroll documentation, corporate records, and related employment materials to identify possible compliance issues and violations of federal immigration-related employment laws.
• Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover inconsistencies, trends, and other leads that support active investigations.
• Prepare precise, well-supported case summaries, analytical reports, and investigative findings that can withstand review and help advance enforcement actions.
• Assist with coordination between national and international investigative efforts and partner organizations.
• Keep case files accurate, orderly, and compliant with DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling standards while identifying potential worksite and employment eligibility violations.
• Create briefing documents and other analysis products for site inspections, enforcement activity, and leadership briefings.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Applicants should have 1 to 2 years of experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration-related services, or a similar field.
• Strong research and analytical ability is needed, along with the capacity to review and organize large amounts of documentation and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for report writing and ongoing coordination with federal law enforcement staff.
• The role requires accurate high-volume data entry from paper records into electronic systems and the ability to run database queries across law enforcement and commercial platforms.
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain and retain an ICE suitability determination.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Preferred background includes experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies, knowledge of Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, familiarity with DHS, ICE, or HSI operations, and experience working with sensitive or law-enforcement-controlled information.
• Experience using government databases or investigative case management systems is an advantage.
