Junior Accountant

Role Overview

Progressive Trading is seeking a driven and detail-focused Junior Accountant to support its expanding operations in Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting tasks and wider finance operations.
• Draft invoices, quotations, and routine financial statements or reports.
• Keep accounting records complete, organized, and up to date.
• Follow up with suppliers and customers on payment-related matters.
• Help the finance department with administrative and clerical work.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance is expected.
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts and accounting software is necessary.
• Strong organization and communication abilities are important for this role.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office tools is required.
• The ability to work on your own as well as with a team is essential.

Preferred Skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Capability to handle time well and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Exposure to Odoo will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and financial reporting workflows.
