Junior Accountant

Overview

Lathief Production is hiring a Junior Accountant for its Dubai, UAE office. This is a full-time, on-site position for someone who is organized, attentive to detail, and eager to develop their career in a busy creative production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage routine accounting work such as entering data, creating invoices, and monitoring expenses.
• Keep financial records up to date and support accurate bookkeeping.
• Help prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliation records.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Work with internal teams to monitor project budgets and spending.
• Support compliance with UAE VAT requirements and help with tax-related filings.
• Provide assistance to senior management with financial analysis and reporting when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Tally.
• Good understanding of core accounting concepts and bookkeeping practices.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT rules is an added advantage.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and good organizational ability.
• Able to manage several tasks at once and work to deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a similar discipline.
• Fluent English is required; additional language skills will be considered a plus.
• Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in Dubai and follows an on-site, full-time work arrangement.
