About the role

This position is suited to someone who is early in an IT career or has a couple of years of support experience and wants to broaden technical capability in a professional environment. The IT Support Technician will help keep internal systems running smoothly by supporting users, managing technology assets, and handling day-to-day IT operations. The role provides practical exposure working with experienced IT staff in a fast-moving setting that encourages learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Handle escalated help desk requests, provide initial support, and route issues onward when they need specialist attention.
• Manage user access and account changes across platforms such as Office 365, Box, Netskope, NetSuite, OpenAir, Openpath, HelpDesk, and Zoom.
• Support onboarding for new employees and contractors, including preparing laptops and other equipment for use.
• Record hardware and asset details accurately and arrange shipment of devices to remote team members.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT equipment, including laptop imaging, software installation, updating inventory records, and secure disposal or wiping of storage media.
• Create and maintain process documentation and respond to requests such as setting up new folders.
• Organize retired or unused hardware and assist with device decommissioning while protecting system security and data integrity.

Requirements

• A recent degree in Information Technology or a closely related discipline, or up to 2 years of experience in IT support.
• Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or CompTIA Network+, though these are not mandatory.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, careful attention to detail, and clear communication skills for explaining technical matters to non-technical users.
• Working familiarity with common business tools such as Office 365 is an advantage.
• Experience in a professional services environment is helpful but not required.
• Ability to handle several tasks efficiently under guidance and a willingness to keep learning.
