Interior Fit-out Project Manager

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced project manager to oversee interior fit-out works in Singapore from the early planning stage through completion, commissioning, and final handover. The role requires close coordination with clients, consultants, designers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to keep projects on track for time, cost, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of interior fit-out projects end to end, from mobilisation and planning through delivery and handover.
• Build and track project programmes, budgets, and manpower plans to meet delivery targets.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams, architects, contractors, and vendors across the full project lifecycle.
• Check drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure work is carried out correctly.
• Handle procurement tasks such as sourcing materials, appointing subcontractors, and managing delivery timelines.
• Track site progress closely and take corrective action when schedules slip, risks arise, or costs increase.
• Make sure all works are completed in line with the required specifications, quality expectations, and relevant regulations.
• Supervise site staff and subcontractors to maintain smooth coordination and quality workmanship.
• Carry out routine site walks, progress discussions, and project review meetings.
• Prepare updates for management and clients, including progress summaries, cost reports, and status briefs.
• Administer project changes, claims, and contractual matters in line with contract terms.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and statutory obligations on site.
• Anticipate project issues early and address them through practical planning and problem-solving.
• Maintain complete project records, including contracts, drawings, approvals, and handover documents.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, defect closure, and final completion activities.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships to support satisfaction and repeat work.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Building, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 to 8 years of project management experience in interior fit-out, renovation, or construction.
• Hands-on experience delivering commercial office, retail, hospitality, residential, or institutional fit-out projects.
• Good knowledge of interior construction techniques, finishes, joinery, M&E coordination, and fit-out workflows.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, purchasing, contracts, and subcontractor performance.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
• Understanding of construction contracts, variation management, and cost control methods.
• Familiarity with local building rules, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Strong capability in leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination.
• Well-developed planning, organisation, and issue-resolution skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and project management tools; AutoCAD and BIM knowledge will be an added advantage.
