Role Overview

Guggenheim Securities International Limited is hiring a seasoned Human Resources Generalist for its London office to support HR activity across the UK and Ireland. The role sits within a team that serves a growing office of around 60 people and acts as the local HR contact for processes managed centrally from the United States. Working closely with U.S. partners in recruitment, talent and development, and HR operations, you will help deliver global HR programs, services, and new initiatives locally.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will cover the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on onboarding, ongoing employee support, and offboarding.

  • Create a strong first-day experience for new joiners and guide them through the onboarding process.
  • Manage enrollment for payroll, benefits, pension, and related systems through Workday and other tools.
  • Arrange introductory meetings between new senior hires and key stakeholders.
  • Complete right-to-work verification for every new hire by the employee’s start date.
  • Collect regulatory references for applicable new hires and handle reference requests for former employees.
  • Run new hire orientation sessions.
  • Make sure workspace and technology are ready so employees can start smoothly on day one.
  • Advise employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Hold regular check-ins with employees during their employment to support engagement and issue resolution.
  • Support U.S. recruitment with coordination for both full-time and intern hiring.
  • Act as a local partner to the U.S. talent team for performance management, promotion, and talent review processes.
  • Escalate employee issues where needed and help resolve employee relations matters.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team and contribute to special projects.
  • Carry out exit interviews for departing employees.
  • Complete all required offboarding tasks with the appropriate teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Background

This position suits an HR professional with substantial experience in financial services, ideally investment banking, and practical knowledge of Workday for UK and Ireland employee data.

Additional Information

The role is expected to be based in the London office at least four days per week.
