About Allnorth
Allnorth is a multidisciplinary company delivering engineering, project delivery, and construction services. The organization develops practical, intelligent project solutions for clients in metals and minerals, energy and renewables, fiber and chemicals, and infrastructure. With offices throughout Canada and the United States, the company continues to expand.
Guided by a triple bottom line philosophy, the business places strong emphasis on safety, community involvement, meaningful Indigenous relationships, and creating a workplace where people can do their best work.
Role Overview
Allnorth is seeking a highly organized and service-focused Human Resources Coordinator to join the HR team. The position reports to the HR Business Partner and supports employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle while helping deliver HR programs, processes, and services efficiently.
This opportunity is well suited to an HR professional who works well in a busy environment, values precision, and is motivated by delivering a positive employee experience.
Location
The role is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Candidates in Kelowna, Vancouver, or Nanaimo, British Columbia may also be considered.
Key Duties
In this position, you will help manage day-to-day HR coordination and employee support activities across onboarding, internal moves, promotions, leaves, compensation updates, and exits. You will also prepare and manage a variety of employment documents, keep personnel records accurate and compliant, and support HR systems and reporting.
The role includes being a main contact for employee and leader questions via the HR Helpdesk, assisting with onboarding and offboarding, supporting disability management, work permit tracking, employee referrals, and other compliance-related programs. You will also contribute to compensation review cycles, performance development activities, workforce reporting, HR projects, and process improvement efforts that enhance efficiency and the employee experience.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. A CPHR designation, or progress toward it, is an advantage.
You should bring 3 to 5 years of experience in HR administration, coordination, or operations, along with a solid understanding of HR procedures, employment laws, and best practices. Experience using HRIS, ATS, and workforce management tools is expected, and strong Microsoft Office skills—especially in Excel—are important.
Experience supporting HR in engineering, consulting, construction, or project-based environments is considered a plus. The role also calls for strong organization, effective time management, excellent communication and customer service abilities, sharp attention to detail, confidentiality, discretion, and a proactive mindset focused on solving problems and improving processes.
Benefits
Allnorth offers flexible work arrangements to help support work-life balance, along with comprehensive health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, and an Employee Assistance Program for team members and their families.
Additional benefits include professional development and career growth support, a team member referral program, monthly Lunch & Learn sessions, a collaborative workplace, and opportunities to take part in social, safety, fundraising, and community activities.
Additional Information
Allnorth describes its work environment as one where employees are valued as people, not just numbers. The company offers challenging work that supports professional growth while helping clients succeed.
Allnorth is an equal opportunity employer. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
