Role Overview
This position sits within a product support and help desk setting. The technician will use both hardware and software tools to diagnose and resolve issues from an office-based support environment while the TUG robot is active in real-world locations such as hospitals, medical centers, manufacturing sites, and hotels.
Key Duties
The role is the initial support contact for customer service inquiries received through automated alerts, phone, email, or chat. It involves identifying and validating the issue through careful questioning and active listening, then delivering prompt technical help and customer support. The technician will guide users through basic equipment use, familiarization, and troubleshooting, and will escalate cases when an on-site visit is needed. The job also requires managing multiple active cases at once and recording troubleshooting steps and technical details in the ticketing system.
Work Schedule
Applicants must be open to shift work, including mornings, evenings, and nights, across weekdays and weekends, as well as holidays.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should hold at least an associate degree in an IT-related discipline. They must be comfortable troubleshooting, maintaining, configuring, and installing both hardware and software. Linux knowledge or hands-on experience is considered an advantage. A professional appearance and strong communication skills are expected. The role may also involve travel for on-site field service support for Aethon equipment.
