Full-Time Nanny

Role Overview

Jovie is hiring full-time and part-time backup nanny support for families in Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, and the surrounding Eastside area in Washington. This role is suited to someone who enjoys a lively, child-focused setting and wants flexible scheduling around school, family commitments, or another job. The position involves caring for children in their homes as part of an on-call team serving multiple families.

What You’ll Do

• Provide in-home childcare for families without needing to drive children anywhere.
• Keep child-related messes and activities tidied up using basic common-sense cleanup only.
• Support families needing care for infants through toddlers, with the strongest demand for children under age 2.
• Keep children safe and engaged through hands-on activities matched to their age and developmental stage.

Schedule and Work Setting

This is a flexible, on-call style opportunity with full-time and part-time openings available. Shifts are typically Monday through Friday, lasting 6 to 8 hours, scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The environment is active, kid-centered, and may include time outdoors when weather allows.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should be at least 18 years old and have prior experience caring for children, whether paid or unpaid. Infant care experience is required. A dependable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel to different homes across the area are also necessary.

Physical and Job Requirements

• The role involves regular bending, lifting, squatting, reaching, and pushing.
• You must be able to safely lift up to 35 pounds.
• You should be comfortable moving to and from the floor repeatedly throughout the day.
• Quick response to situations is important.
• You need to be able to handle emergencies calmly, safely, and effectively.

Additional Information

There are no household duties beyond normal cleanup related to the child’s meals or activities. The job does not require transporting children. The work may include outdoor play when conditions are suitable.
