About the Role

Star Construction, LLC is hiring a Flagger to help keep traffic moving safely around active work zones and public areas. In this role, you will support traffic control activities while contributing to general site operations as needed.

Key Duties

• Direct traffic around active job sites using paddles, hand signals, and other flagging tools
• Set out and organize flags, cones, signs, and markers before and during work activities
• Assist with general construction tasks when directed by a Foreman or Supervisor
• Operate vehicles safely and comply with company driving standards
• Adhere to applicable local, state, and federal DOT rules and guidance
• Keep company vehicles and equipment clean and in working order
• Work outdoors in changing and sometimes difficult weather conditions
• Take on additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have authorization to work in the United States for this employer
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience
• Valid state driver's license that is not provisional, along with an acceptable driving record
• Prior flagging experience is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Frequent ability to work alone in remote locations, drive vehicles, bend, stoop, squeeze, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift 10 to 25 pounds, perform fine hand movements, and use a keyboard and mouse
• Occasional need to work with arms above shoulder level, climb stairs, and lift 26 to 55 pounds
