Role overview
This position plays a key part in managing regional financial planning activities, including close, forecasting, and business planning. The role also involves guiding and overseeing an Analyst while working closely with site finance teams, non-finance stakeholders in the region, and the global finance organization.
Key responsibilities
- Work with regional and site teams to gather weekly risk and opportunity updates, monthly actuals and forecasts, and build a consolidated view for the business unit.
- Coordinate, compile, and review the annual budgeting process.
- Partner with site finance teams to maintain aligned financial data and consistent reporting standards.
- Prepare clear variance analysis covering revenue, material costs, manufacturing, and customer/program profitability.
- Make sure business-unit allocations across sites are properly understood, accurate, documented, communicated, and followed through.
- Assist in preparing presentation material for close activities, MBR/QBR reviews, and budget discussions.
- Support Commercial Finance with analysis of actuals, forecasts, and budget figures.
- Improve workflows and contribute to special projects aimed at refreshing report formats.
- Coach and supervise the Analyst’s deliverables.
Background and qualifications
- CA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance planning.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis.
- Strong ability to plan and manage time effectively.
- Good analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with individuals, teams, and group settings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient English communication skills.
