Facility Housekeeper

Role Overview

Diversified Foods and Seasoning in Theodore, Alabama is seeking a Housekeeper for its food production facility. This role is focused on keeping the site clean, orderly, and sanitary so day-to-day operations can run safely and efficiently.

The position includes cleaning production spaces, offices, and restrooms; removing waste; and carrying out general housekeeping along with light support tasks in line with company expectations and regulatory requirements.

Core Duties

• Keep all parts of the facility tidy and sanitary, including production areas, office spaces, restrooms, and break rooms.
• Carry out floor and surface cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfection as needed.
• Remove trash, clean waste containers, and ensure garbage is discarded correctly.
• Clean and sanitize production tools and equipment when required to support hygiene standards.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning products.
• Use cleaning equipment safely, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Work in accordance with safety rules, sanitation procedures, and chemical-handling guidelines, including company and OSHA standards.
• Escalate spills, hazards, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor right away.
• Keep cleaning records and checklists accurate and up to date when required.
• Take on other housekeeping or utility-related tasks assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.

Requirements

• Prior work experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or sanitation is required.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to understand and follow spoken and written instructions.
• Reliable attendance and good time management are important.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic math and basic reading ability are required.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and sanitation practices is preferred.

This is a full-time onsite position at the Theodore, AL plant. The role supports a food production environment where sanitation and compliance are essential to operations.
