About the Role
This position is for a permanent full-time or part-time Facilities and Maintenance Officer to deliver professional maintenance support across multiple Mounties Group sites. The main focus will be the Harbord Diggers site, where you will help keep buildings, plant, equipment, and amenities safe, compliant, and operating effectively.
The role involves a mix of routine repairs, planned maintenance, contractor oversight, and site checks. Your contribution will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and support a positive experience for members, residents, and guests.
Key Duties
- Carry out general maintenance and handyperson tasks such as minor repairs, patching and painting, carpentry, small building works, and fixing faults.
- Complete both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across assigned sites, making sure all work is done safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
- Perform limited electrical work only while working under the supervision of a licensed electrician and in line with legal requirements.
- Record, monitor, and finalise maintenance requests in the approved system, ensuring all completed work is documented clearly.
- Assist with inspections of buildings, equipment, and assets to identify defects, safety risks, and service concerns.
- Oversee and coordinate external contractors on site so their work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to legislation, scope, and site rules.
- Ensure contractors follow WHS requirements, site inductions, permit processes, and location-specific operating procedures.
- Work with the Facilities Management team to develop, review, and improve maintenance processes and site operations.
- Help maintain compliance with WHS, building, fire, and other statutory obligations.
- Support activities related to identifying, reporting, and reducing risk.
About You
To be considered, you should bring trade qualifications or solid hands-on experience in a similar maintenance role. You will also need a current NSW driver licence.
Useful additional qualifications include a White Card, High Risk Licence for work over 11 metres, Elevated Work Platform licence for under 11 metres, ChemCert, and Confined Space certification.
