Role Overview

The Executive & Strategic Communications Manager will lead executive, corporate, and strategic communications across the organization. This person will act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, turning complex business priorities into clear and engaging narratives that strengthen employee connection, executive presence, and the company’s reputation both internally and externally.

The position reports to the VP, Global Brand & Media and sits at the intersection of executive communications, corporate storytelling, thought leadership, and strategic messaging. The role requires strong writing and storytelling ability, sound judgment, business understanding, executive presence, and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority. This role must be based in Dallas, TX and requires in-person collaboration with the CEO and executive team, including from the Dallas office as needed for business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior leaders to develop executive voice and strategic messaging for internal and external communication channels.
  • Write leadership communications such as company updates, keynote remarks, talking points, organizational announcements, quarterly business messages, and employee engagement content.
  • Build messaging frameworks, communication plans, and narrative approaches that make complex priorities easier for leaders to communicate.
  • Support executive visibility and thought leadership through contributed articles, speaking opportunities, executive social content, blogs, and industry-facing engagement.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and communications that stay aligned with tone, messaging, and business priorities.
  • Partner with People, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams on communications that support culture, engagement, and alignment.
  • Assist with communications around major business moments, organizational changes, transformation efforts, signature events, and culture programs.
  • Maintain consistency between executive messages, company priorities, and broader enterprise narratives.
  • Turn complex, changing, or unclear topics into communication that is clear, persuasive, and audience-appropriate.
  • Help create repeatable communication processes, editorial guidelines, and operating workflows to improve consistency and impact.
  • Act as a main contact for external PR agencies and communications partners.
  • Coordinate executive visibility programs, media opportunities, thought leadership efforts, and external storytelling initiatives.
  • Manage approval workflows, stakeholder coordination, briefing materials, messaging reviews, and alignment steps for communications delivery.
  • Track industry trends, media coverage, cultural shifts, and emerging topics to find opportunities for executive engagement and company commentary.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Social, and agency teams to keep internal communications, external narratives, brand messaging, and executive presence aligned.
  • Serve as a communications advisor to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous or evolving topics by recommending messaging angles and narrative strategies.
  • Advise on audience strategy, tone, positioning, executive communications, and organizational messaging.
  • Support leadership through sensitive communications with discretion, judgment, and strong business context.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve research, content creation, communication workflows, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in executive communications, corporate communications, public relations, journalism, strategic communications, or a related area.
  • Must be based in Dallas, TX and able to work in person with the CEO and executive leadership team, including from the Dallas office when business needs require it.
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and messaging skills with the ability to adjust tone and voice across leaders, audiences, and channels.
  • Background supporting senior executives in fast-paced, high-growth, matrixed, or technology-focused organizations.
  • Strong executive presence and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with leadership.
  • Proven ability to turn complex business priorities and unclear topics into compelling narratives and communication strategies.
  • Experience handling agency relationships, communication workflows, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
  • Solid business acumen and familiarity with media, communications, and industry landscapes.
  • Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities at once, and stay composed under pressure.
  • Demonstrated comfort using AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to strengthen content development, workflows, and efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred background of 8+ years in executive communications, corporate affairs, public relations, journalism, or strategic communications.
  • Experience supporting C-level executives and enterprise leadership teams is preferred.
  • Prior work in SaaS, technology, e-commerce, marketplace, or other high-growth environments is preferred.
  • Experience writing keynote speeches, executive presentations, organizational announcements, and leadership communications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with executive social strategy, thought leadership programs, and external visibility initiatives is preferred.
  • Travel may be required up to 10%.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $155,000 per year. In addition to base pay, a discretionary bonus equal to 12% of annual base salary is available for non-sales roles. Final pay may differ based on location, skills, and relevant experience.
