Role Summary

This full-time Estimator role is based in Campbell River, BC and combines office-based and remote work. The person in this position will prepare precise project cost estimates, assess scope and requirements, and work closely with clients, contractors, and internal team members. The job also involves reviewing drawings, attending site visits, identifying materials, and putting together proposals within required timelines.

Key Work Areas

• Build detailed and accurate project estimates by reviewing scope, plans, and specifications.
• Analyze project requirements and support decision-making through careful cost assessment and data review.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and coworkers to clarify needs and maintain smooth communication.
• Examine blueprints, site plans, and other technical documents to understand the full scope of work.
• Conduct site visits as needed to validate requirements and gather relevant project information.
• Source materials and support proposal preparation for timely submission to customers.

Required Background

The role calls for strong estimating ability, solid cost-analysis skills, and experience sourcing materials. Candidates should be comfortable communicating with different stakeholders, managing client relationships, and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and site plans. A working knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety requirements is important, along with project coordination and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with estimation and data-management software is also needed. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. Experience in exterior solutions, construction, or a similar field would be a plus.
