Overview
This is a remote contract opportunity for an Epic Orders Analyst supporting a healthcare client in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The assignment is scheduled to begin on 9/1/2026 and is expected to run for 18 months. It is a full-time engagement, and although the role is remote, travel is required 100% on site.
No third parties are being considered for this engagement.
Project Scope
The assignment focuses on supporting an Epic implementation that replaces multiple legacy ordering systems. The goal is to establish consistent order sets, strengthen clinical decision support, and create safe, efficient ordering workflows for both inpatient and ambulatory care.
Role Summary
The selected analyst will support the design and build of ordering workflows across multiple clinical specialties. The position is responsible for making sure order sets, preference lists, result-related workflows, clinical decision support, and provider ordering tools are accurate, validated, and ready for deployment across the healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure Epic Orders functionality, including order sets, preference lists, order composer tools, and CDS/BPA rules.
- Partner with clinical leaders and providers to collect needs, map ordering processes, and convert those requirements into system design.
- Set up SmartSets, SmartTools, order panels, cascading orders, routing logic, security, and connections to pharmacy, lab, radiology, and other ancillary systems.
- Carry out unit testing, integrated testing, and UAT; resolve issues and coordinate with related teams such as Willow, Beaker, Radiant, ClinDoc, and Ambulatory.
- Assist with training, go-live readiness, and post-go-live support to stabilize and fine-tune ordering workflows.
Requirements
- Epic Orders certification is mandatory.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the client site.
- At least 3 years of experience in Epic Orders build and implementation is preferred.
- Solid understanding of clinical workflows, order set governance, CDS logic, and cross-specialty ordering requirements.
- Prior international healthcare implementation experience is an advantage, though not required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within large project teams.
