English Language Specialist

Role summary

This is a contract remote opportunity for an English Language Specialist focused on transcription work. The assignment is available from anywhere and is centered on producing accurate written versions of audio content with strong quality control.

Compensation

The payout for this role is between $20 and $30 per hour.

Core responsibilities

• Convert audio recordings into clear, correctly formatted English text.
• Review and refine transcripts for grammar, punctuation, readability, and accuracy.
• Follow client instructions and formatting rules closely for each assignment.
• Protect sensitive information and handle all materials with confidentiality.
• Complete transcription tasks within the required deadlines.

Required profile

• Strong command of English, including excellent listening comprehension.
• Previous work in transcription, proofreading, or editing.
• Careful attention to detail and the ability to work from structured guidelines.
• Typing ability of at least 60 words per minute.
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
