Engineer Mechanical Maintenance

Role overview

This position involves mechanical maintenance support for equipment deployed across well sites, Group Gathering Stations, and compressor stations. The role focuses on preventive upkeep, safe work execution, and coordination with multiple engineering disciplines to keep operations stable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Execute maintenance tasks according to the preventive maintenance plan for equipment located at well sites, Group Gathering Stations, and compressor stations.
• Spot likely hazards and take part in job safety analysis for high-risk work, including routine servicing, planned shutdowns, and emergency repairs.
• Conduct toolbox talks and act as a strong example in following the work permit system for all assigned jobs.
• Maintain process and utility systems in a way that reduces unnecessary trips and shutdowns.
• Liaise with engineers from other disciplines to support smooth plant and field operations.
• Support the maintenance head in preparing budgets and reducing costs through effective use of resources and services.
• Build strong interpersonal effectiveness and work in a self-driven manner with minimal supervision.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering is required.

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within a major oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertiliser plant.
• Hands-on exposure to pumps, reciprocating compressors, motors, gas- and diesel-driven generators, field maintenance, valve maintenance, pipeline pigging, and utilities.
• Working knowledge of industry codes, practices, applicable legislation, international standards, and permit-to-work systems.
