Role overview
This position is for an experienced HR Operations Team Lead who will guide day-to-day HR operations and ensure the team delivers accurate, timely, and compliant support. The scope includes payroll coordination, employee insurance, medical claims, leave administration, ticketing, offboarding, QID renewals, salary holds, employee loans, and employee assistance services.
The right candidate will bring strong people leadership, operational discipline, and problem-solving ability, along with experience managing large volumes of HR transactions in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Gather, check, and validate payroll data such as attendance, leave, overtime, deductions, incentives, loans, and other inputs.
- Make sure payroll submissions are completed correctly and within the required timelines.
- Work closely with Finance and Payroll teams to resolve discrepancies and keep salary processing on schedule.
- Track leave salary computations, full and final settlements, payroll reconciliation, and end-of-service benefit calculations.
- Lead the offboarding process, including clearance steps, exit paperwork, final settlement handling, and system access removal.
- Manage salary hold cases, related inquiries, and resolutions while keeping employees and stakeholders informed.
- Maintain and update HR trackers, dashboards, and reports to support operational decisions.
- Ensure employee records, HR files, and sensitive documentation are accurate, current, and kept confidential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in HR operations, including prior team management exposure.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, employee benefits, insurance, leave administration, and labour-related procedures.
- Background in managing large-scale HR operations efficiently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel, HR platforms, Jira, and operational tracking tools.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure and juggle multiple priorities.
