What you will do

• Review electrical drawings and project specifications to prepare precise estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Check bid depository rules and other bidding requirements to ensure submissions are accurate and compliant.
• Use Accubid to build and track project cost information and estimate-related controls.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to collect the details needed for reliable estimates.
• Analyze cost differences and variances and share findings with management.
• Take part in bid and proposal discussions, present estimates, and respond to questions from clients and stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry standards, trends, and estimating best practices.
• Support the team with other related tasks as required.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline.
• 3 to 7 years of experience estimating electrical work in heavy industrial construction, preferably on distribution centers, manufacturing plants, or data centers.
• Hands-on experience with Accubid and other commonly used estimating tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical trade scope and bid depository requirements.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Solid math and analytical capability.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to handle several projects at once.
• A self-driven, detail-focused approach with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
