Key responsibilities

• Examine electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to build reliable cost estimates.
• Complete quantity take-offs covering labor, materials, and equipment for detailed bid preparation.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to confirm scope and resolve issues early.
• Gather competitive pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Spot value engineering and cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or intent.
• Verify that estimates align with applicable codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Prepare polished bid submissions that include pricing breakdowns, timelines, and risk considerations.
• Maintain and refine cost databases, historical pricing records, and labor-rate data to improve estimating accuracy over time.
• Support contract discussions, change orders, and budget revisions during project delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience estimating electrical work in construction, industrial, or commercial environments.
• Comfort using estimating tools such as Accubid or a comparable platform.
• Working knowledge of electrical standards, industry requirements, and NEC regulations.
