About the Role
Tommy Bahama is looking for a Dishwasher to support its Honolulu restaurant team. In this role, you will help maintain the smooth flow of kitchen operations while contributing to the brand’s relaxed, island-inspired hospitality experience. The position is part of a team that supports culinary, front-of-house, and management functions, with an emphasis on cleanliness, teamwork, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and contribute to a positive, service-oriented environment.
- Clean and sanitize tableware, cookware, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
- Keep the dish area tidy, well-organized, and ready for ongoing kitchen use.
- Help maintain kitchen safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in line with required agency standards.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced culinary or hospitality setting.
- A valid food handler’s card and any additional certifications required by federal, state, or local regulations.
- Working knowledge of restaurant sanitation practices, including storage and rotation of food service items, proper cleaning methods, and routine housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability and willingness to take on additional tasks as needed to support business operations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift or move up to about 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Standing for the full length of the shift.
- Comfort with using hand carts and common kitchen tools and equipment, including blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other items covered in training.
- Availability for shifts scheduled according to business needs.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $19.00 per hour or the local minimum wage, up to $21.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on experience, knowledge, skills, work location, and budget availability.
