ജോലി വിവരണം

Role overview

The Disability Review Operations Manager leads the Generation, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance functions for DBQ operations. This position also acts as the main subject matter expert for DBQ content across these teams and partners with managers in other departments to keep training and knowledge aligned. The role is centered on improving accuracy, standardizing training, strengthening compliance, and supporting overall performance against company objectives.

In close partnership with the Senior Director of DBQ Operations, this manager helps roll out company policies, sharpen departmental workflows, and keep the operation moving efficiently. The position calls for someone who is proactive, medically literate, and comfortable working across teams to uphold DBQ quality and consistency.

People and team leadership

  • Guide the Generation, QC, and QA teams in coordination with the Senior Director of DBQ Operations.
  • Oversee goals, metrics, and daily operations for a large remote team through supervisors and team leads.
  • Develop supervisors, reinforce consistency across departments, and hold them accountable for performance.
  • Coach team members, monitor progress toward targets, and support growth plans and performance conversations.
  • Handle the full performance management cycle, including coaching, reviews, development planning, and escalation of performance concerns.
  • Support hiring and onboarding for new team members, including GoTeam personnel.
  • Own supervisor timecard review and PTO approvals, and step in when supervisors are unavailable.
  • Ensure supervisors complete their 1:1 meetings and provide backup support when needed.
  • Run weekly department meetings and bi-weekly staff check-ins.
  • Build dashboards and accountability systems to track output, error trends, and individual performance.
  • Remove operational blockers and escalate recurring or systemic issues early.

DBQ subject matter expertise

  • Serve as the key DBQ knowledge resource for Generation, QC, and QA teams.
  • Use clinical and medical knowledge to verify DBQ accuracy, appropriate terminology, and alignment with VA rating criteria.
  • Review changes to VA templates, rating schedules, and policy updates to determine what needs to be revised.
  • Keep all DBQ training content current with VA criteria and REE Medical's internal processes.
  • Maintain SOPs, process documentation, and quick-reference materials as workflows change.
  • Review training materials every quarter and flag outdated content for revision.
  • Identify training gaps from QA findings, error patterns, and supervisor feedback, then prepare updated content for director approval.
  • Publish approved training updates within 30 days of major VA or process changes.
  • Act as the go-to source for questions about DBQ training accuracy and content.

Process, compliance, and improvement

  • Roll out DBQ process changes across departments and make sure they are clearly communicated.
  • Ensure all teams follow operational procedures and requirements for safeguarding PII and PHI.
  • Track and report compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director of DBQ Operations and supervisors to keep teams aligned.
  • Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce mistakes, and make information easier to access.

Success measures

  • Maintain the expected meeting cadence with supervisors, cross-functional managers, and team members.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly meeting completion targets.
  • Keep DBQ Generation and QC turnaround times within established SLA expectations.
  • Stay at or below the department's error threshold while maintaining required productivity.
  • Control overtime and support balanced workload distribution across the team.
  • Hit quarterly production targets set by Finance and the CFO office while preserving quality and compliance.
  • Ensure DBQ training materials are reviewed and confirmed accurate every quarter.
  • Publish updated content within the required time frame after VA or process changes.
  • Reduce DBQ-related errors across Generation, QC, and QA.
  • Increase supervisors' confidence in training materials based on structured feedback.

Required background

This role calls for 3 to 5 years of DBQ experience with a strong understanding of VA disability processes, rating schedules, and compliance expectations. Experience in the VA disability field outside REE Medical is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree or comparable relevant experience is required.

You should also bring medical or clinical literacy, such as training or education in medical terminology, anatomy, diagnostic criteria, or a health sciences-related field. The ability to interpret VA rating schedule criteria and turn clinical findings into accurate DBQ documentation is important.

Leadership experience matters as well: at least 2 years managing through supervisors or team leads, along with experience handling performance management, remote teams, and change management. The role also requires familiarity with protecting PII/PHI and following data security practices.

In addition, you need experience creating and maintaining training resources and operational documentation, plus comfort using platforms such as Trainual, Spekit, or similar tools. Strong analytical thinking, project coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills are also needed, along with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Benefits and rewards

  • Competitive salary of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage, plus company-sponsored life insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan with company match.
  • Vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.
  • Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Room for internal growth and advancement.
  • Flexible scheduling and a remote-first work environment.
  • Annual company-wide conferences.
  • Employee assistance program for personal and family support.
  • Employee discounts through Insperity.
  • Recognition programs for strong performance.
  • Company-sponsored social events and activities.
