Role Overview
Wynn Al Marjan Island is preparing to launch in the UAE in 2027 as a premium beachfront resort destination designed for guests seeking leisure and entertainment. The development, set less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, a nightclub, and a five-star spa, all on an island site overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
The resort is hiring a Director - Marketing Intelligence to join its Database Marketing team and lead analytics, reporting, and performance intelligence for the gaming function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the primary reporting suite and dashboard environment for the gaming team.
- Create performance dashboards that monitor host output, profitability, and player engagement.
- Set up, track, and improve gaming host KPIs such as ADT, visit frequency and recency, and reinvestment ratios.
- Provide leadership and operations teams with regular historical analysis and trend-based reporting.
- Automate reporting processes and maintain strict standards for data quality across all deliverables.
- Convert business challenges into structured analytical approaches and clear reporting outputs.
- Use advanced analytical methods to interpret data and produce practical, evidence-based insights.
- Build audience targeting logic and control groups to evaluate campaign performance, ROI, uplift, and incremental revenue.
- Apply LLMs to speed up insight generation and support automated narrative reporting.
- Own the BI roadmap in partnership with technical and business stakeholders, identifying and prioritizing the most valuable opportunities.
- Evaluate the usefulness and reliability of new data sources and data collection approaches.
- Design scalable data processes that support future model enhancements without interrupting live production.
- Lead, coach, and develop a technical team while managing goals and delivery timelines.
Candidate Profile
The role calls for a strong analytical leader with deep gaming analytics experience, advanced reporting capability, and the ability to communicate insights to senior stakeholders. The ideal hire should be comfortable balancing strategic priorities, managing a technical team, and turning complex data into clear business decisions.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Finance; a master’s degree is an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of gaming analytics experience, with 8+ years of total experience preferred.
- Strong SQL capability and working knowledge of one or more BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar; Python is beneficial.
- Proven experience creating automated dashboards and reporting systems.
- Practical exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks, along with familiarity with ETL workflows.
- Strong understanding of gaming KPIs including ADT, theo, hold, reinvestment, player lifecycle, loyalty programs, and campaign measurement.
- Ability to identify trends, root causes, and meaningful patterns using both qualitative and quantitative information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to executive and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated experience leading and growing a technical team while delivering under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
