Overview
This is a full-time permanent Dealer position based at a casino in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. The role places you at the center of live table action, where you will manage gameplay, engage with guests, and help create an entertaining and professional gaming experience.
The starting hourly wage is $17.60, increasing to $18.79 after one year. New team members receive full training if they are unfamiliar with table games, and the company supports career growth into supervisory or management roles.
What the role involves
- Run the game smoothly while interacting with players and keeping the table experience lively and professional.
- Calculate wins, losses, and bet payouts accurately.
- Handle cards, chips, and cash securely while checking and approving transactions.
- Keep the game moving at the right pace and maintain proper table security.
- Escalate disputes or unusual game situations to a Dealer Supervisor when needed.
What you should bring
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
- A valid Serving It Right (BC), Proserve (Alberta), or Smart Serve (Ontario) certificate.
- Strong mental math ability, including quick addition and multiplication, and the ability to remember repeated number patterns.
- Previous dealing experience is considered an advantage.
- For Alberta-based training, completion of Deal Us In Phase I within 30 days of starting.
- Good manual dexterity to handle cards fluidly and work with stacks of chips.
- The ability to stand and/or sit for long stretches, depending on the assignment.
- A friendly, outgoing manner and a commitment to excellent guest service.
- Attention to detail, comfort with numbers, and interest in learning multiple games.
- Availability for flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, with comfort working late hours.
- Confidence speaking with guests about events and promotions, and a collaborative approach to team-based work.
