The organisation is guided by a purpose of helping people live better lives, and it works according to the values of Hope, Trust and Integrity, Compassion, Partnership, and Tangata Whenua.
The opportunity

The role may also involve transporting clients to and from the programme, as well as assisting with meal preparation and distribution.
What you will be doing
- Support the care and wellbeing of clients attending the local Day Service.
- Prepare and run engaging group activities that are suitable for older adults.
- Encourage client involvement in a way that meets different abilities and needs.
- Carry out administrative and coordination tasks that keep the day service operating efficiently.
- Drive clients to and from the programme when required.
- Assist with preparing and serving meals.

Experience working with older adults, including people living with dementia or disabilities, is important. You will also need strong communication skills, clear spoken English, a friendly and caring approach, and a positive can-do attitude. The role suits someone who can manage several tasks at once and adapt calmly when plans change.
Working with us

Team members have access to ongoing award-winning training and e-learning, work-use equipment such as a Samsung tablet/device, external counselling and support through the Employee Assistance Programme, wellbeing resources for staff and family, discounted products and services through the BOOST programme, and future growth pathways including Support Worker Mentor opportunities.
Additional information
Some training benefits may depend on the applicant’s work permit or visa type. The organisation also invites candidates to visit its careers page to learn more about working there and explore other opportunities.
