Data Collection Vehicle Operator

Overview

We are hiring two Data Collection Vehicle Operators to support an autonomous vehicle data collection initiative across the UAE. The role involves driving vehicles fitted with sensors on assigned routes, assisting with field activities, and helping ensure data is gathered safely, consistently, and in line with project standards.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client-facing teams to keep daily collection work running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sensor-equipped vehicles safely and in compliance with local traffic regulations and project guidelines.
• Follow the route plan and collection timetable issued by the project team.
• Observe and monitor in-vehicle cameras, sensors, and other data collection systems while operating the vehicle.
• Carry out simple checks before and after trips to confirm equipment is functioning properly.
• Log any equipment faults, route changes, incidents, or other operational findings.
• Keep clear and accurate records of collection runs and day-to-day activity.
• Assist with setting up, moving, and handling collection equipment when needed.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to support successful collection operations.
• Adhere to all safety rules, operational procedures, and client-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid UAE driving licence.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Comfortable with long driving hours in both city and remote settings.
• Able to carefully follow detailed instructions and operating procedures.
• Basic ability to use smartphones, tablets, and computer-based tools.
• High attention to detail and a strong safety mindset.
• Prepared to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to field operations, mapping, surveying, inspections, logistics, or data collection work.
• Experience operating SUVs, utility vehicles, or off-road vehicles.
• Comfort using cameras, GPS devices, sensors, or similar technical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor issues without supervision.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
