Role overview
This full-time customer service opportunity is based at Auckland Airport, where you will support travellers at the counter and help make their rental experience smooth and positive. The role sits within a large global mobility business and offers training from day one, a welcoming team environment, and room to grow within the wider organisation.
Working pattern
This is a 40-hour per week position. The operation runs every day of the week on a rotating roster, so you must be available for early starts from 6:30 am, afternoon shifts, late shifts up to 2:00 am, weekends, and public holidays when required.
What the role involves
In this counter-facing role, you will greet customers, understand what they need from a rental, explain products and add-ons, handle bookings and rental paperwork, and process payments accurately. You will also support general enquiries and work toward resolving customer issues. Part of the job includes checking vehicles for cleanliness and any visible damage so customers receive the best possible experience.
Key tasks
- Listen carefully to establish each customer’s rental requirements.
- Explain optional extras and services so customers can choose what suits them best.
- Clearly communicate rental rules, procedures, and terms.
- Enter bookings and complete payments with speed and accuracy.
- Respond to customer questions and handle enquiries professionally.
What we are looking for
This is an entry-level role and training will be provided. You should have prior experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, sales, or a similar environment. A full, clean, valid Class 1 driver’s licence is mandatory. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving setting, learning to use computer systems and handheld devices, and following company processes, standards, and guidelines closely.
Benefits and perks
- $25.63 per hour plus the chance to increase earnings through a sales incentive scheme.
- Parking is provided.
- Uniforms are supplied.
- Wellbeing support including life insurance, discounted health insurance, and superannuation options.
- Employee discounts on car rentals across the group’s brands.
- Access to offers and savings from retailers and major brands.
- Full training to support your development and help you reach your potential.
