Role overview
Simcoe County District School Board is hiring a permanent custodian in Warminster, Ontario. This position is scheduled for 4 hours each day, totaling 20 hours per week, with shifts assigned as needed. The posting reference is CU-52.
Key duties
The full scope of work will follow the board’s custodian job description and may extend beyond the points listed here. The role is expected to include general custodial functions, building upkeep, and related operational support.
Qualifications and core abilities
- Working knowledge of cleaning techniques, supplies, and equipment.
- Capacity to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to use building and custodial equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to understand and carry out both spoken and written directions.

Employment terms and conditions
Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees, including those already receiving an OMERS pension. This role belongs to CUPE Local 1310, and employment terms are governed by the CUPE Collective Agreement, including any applicable union dues. Probationary employees may apply for additional hours or promotion.
