Role Overview
The Detroit Pistons are seeking a CRM Manager to strengthen how customer data is managed and used across the organization. This position focuses on improving customer insights, simplifying workflows, and supporting growth through effective CRM administration. The role works closely with marketing and sales teams to tailor the CRM environment to the organization’s needs, while also serving as the main contact for CRM issues, enhancements, and adoption efforts.
CRM Administration
- Configure and tailor the CRM system, including integrations with other platforms.
- Identify ways to automate tasks and improve processes within the CRM.
- Oversee lead identification and qualification workflows.
- Develop and keep current training materials and best-practice guides.
Data Management and Quality
- Apply data hygiene practices to keep customer records accurate, organized, and dependable.
- Support secure collection and transfer of customer data through customer-facing web forms.
Reporting and Analytics
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that measure customer engagement and campaign results.
- Turn CRM data into practical recommendations for sales and marketing leaders.
- Help shape segmentation and targeting approaches to improve personalization.
Collaboration and Support
- Work with marketing and sales partners to keep CRM operations running smoothly.
- Train employees on CRM usage, best practices, and new functionality.
- Act as the first point of contact for CRM questions, issues, and enhancement requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience managing CRM platforms, with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM certification, either completed or currently underway.
- Strong grasp of CRM best practices, platform administration, and data integrations.
- Ability to write intermediate-level SQL queries.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Comfort translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience creating and connecting customer-facing web forms such as Formstack, Google Forms, or FormAssembly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools such as Adobe, Marketing Cloud, or Eloqua, along with customer journey mapping, is an added advantage.
