Role overview
This position is for a meticulous and insight-driven Credit Analyst / Risk Analyst who will help assess, monitor, and manage credit and enterprise risk across the organization. The role focuses on reviewing financial and operational data, measuring exposure, supporting credit decisions, and helping shape practical risk controls that support business goals and meet regulatory expectations.
What you will do
- Review financial statements, business results, market movements, and related information to identify credit and risk concerns.
- Prepare clear reports on credit quality, risk exposure, and portfolio performance to support informed decisions.
- Track key risk indicators and highlight trends, anomalies, and emerging issues early.
- Assist in the design and maintenance of risk assessment frameworks and internal risk controls.
- Monitor adherence to internal risk policies and keep documentation accurate and up to date.
- Support the development of mitigation plans and follow up on corrective actions.
- Contribute to stress testing, scenario analysis, and similar evaluation methods when required.
- Work closely with finance, compliance, operations, business, and other teams to apply risk practices consistently.
- Support internal audits, regulatory submissions, policy reviews, and broader governance improvements.
- Help drive ongoing improvements in controls, risk processes, and reporting quality.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Professional certifications in Risk Management, Credit Analysis, Finance, Accounting, or Internal Audit are considered beneficial.
- Strong understanding of credit evaluation, financial statement analysis, risk principles, internal controls, and corporate governance.
- Working knowledge of portfolio monitoring, credit reporting, regulatory expectations, and risk assessment methods.
- Exposure to financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, or quantitative analysis is an added advantage.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with financial systems, BI tools, risk platforms, or analytics software is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while working both independently and with cross-functional teams.
- High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, adaptability, and continuous learning.
