Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Courier position in Kochi. The selected person will collect food and beverage orders from assigned pickup points and deliver them to customers within the required time window. The job includes mapping practical delivery routes, checking that orders are complete, handling cash or digital payments when needed, and staying in touch with dispatchers and customers throughout the delivery process. The courier is also expected to follow hygiene and safety practices, keep the delivery vehicle or equipment in good working order, and promptly share any delays, problems, or incidents. A professional appearance and courteous service are important, as is helping onboard or guide new team members when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect food and beverage orders from designated locations and deliver them within the expected timeframe.
• Choose efficient routes to complete deliveries quickly and reliably.
• Verify order details before leaving the pickup point to ensure accuracy.
• Accept cash or digital payments when applicable.
• Stay in regular contact with dispatchers and customers to provide updates and coordination.
• Follow hygiene, food safety, and general road-safety standards during every delivery.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle or equipment in proper working condition.
• Report delays, delivery issues, or incidents without delay.
• Represent Dietado in a professional and polite manner at all customer touchpoints.
• Assist with basic guidance or training for new team members when needed.

Qualifications

Applicants should have strong customer service ability, practical knowledge of logistics and transportation, and a basic grasp of safe food handling. Familiarity with route planning, time management, and safe driving is important. A valid driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle, bike, or scooter is required as per the role. Candidates should know Kochi’s roads and traffic patterns well, be able to carry packages safely, remain on their feet for long periods, and use a smartphone comfortably for navigation and delivery apps. Prior experience in delivery, logistics, retail, or hospitality is helpful but not compulsory.
