Role overview

This position involves a hiring interview and is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The courier will be responsible for collecting and delivering packages on an assigned route, while ensuring each shipment meets FedEx Canada service standards. The role also includes customer service duties connected to the pickup and delivery process.

Key duties

• Carry out courteous and efficient package pickup and delivery along an assigned route.
• Inspect shipments to confirm they comply with Federal Express Canada service requirements.
• Handle associated customer service tasks as part of daily route operations.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

• High school diploma or an equivalent educational credential.
• A valid driver’s licence with a strong driving record.
• Capability to lift up to 70 lbs and move packages as heavy as 150 lbs using proper equipment.
• At least 1 year of customer-focused business experience is preferred.
• Must pass the required pre-placement driver assessment training.
• Helpful to have familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs regulations.
• Strong people skills and clear verbal and written communication.
• Good organization and time-management abilities.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay composed under pressure, and perform in a demanding environment.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules and holidays according to business needs.

Additional details

This is a domicile role that begins and ends in Canmore. The starting wage is $23.30.

Driver candidates will also be evaluated based on their driver abstract, interview performance, and any driver competency assessments.
