Cost Manager (Data Center)

Overview

As a Cost Manager focused on data center projects at Linesight, you will join a multicultural and highly experienced team that values collaboration, shared success, and strong professional relationships. What you will do

• Prepare cost estimates and budget plans for major client projects in the data center sector.
• Help projects move forward smoothly by maintaining accurate cost records and communicating updates in a timely way.
• Take part in tender and bid activities, including preparing documentation, reviewing submissions, and producing analysis and reports.
• Track project expenditure by preparing valuations and cost reports, and explain changes and variations clearly to the wider team.
• Assist with the settlement of construction disputes, loss and expense matters, and related claims in a transparent manner.
• Handle commercial matters, change orders, and contract issues efficiently and fairly.
• Support the preparation and final agreement of closing accounts, including claim handling, to help ensure the client receives best value from the work delivered.

What the role calls for

The ideal candidate brings practical experience in both pre-contract and post-contract cost management across a range of projects, preferably on large-scale assignments. A degree in cost management, construction, or a similar field is preferred, though equivalent experience will also be considered. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving setting where you manage your own priorities and deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills are important, along with a willingness to travel briefly when needed to meet clients, partners, and internal teams. A collaborative attitude and the ability to build open, trusting relationships are key.

Interview process

Interviews are held either face to face or online, and video participation is required for virtual meetings.
