Job Purpose
The role is focused on tracking, managing, and reporting project expenditure across the full project lifecycle. The aim is to keep spending within approved budget limits and deliver reliable financial analysis and forecasts that help guide project decisions.
Key Activities
- Handle project invoices, commitments, and all related spend records.
- Keep a close watch on budgets, forecasts, and overall cost performance.
- Assist with monthly cost reports, accrual preparation, and budget revisions.
- Examine and verify purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Work with Finance and other stakeholders on cost management, billing, and accounting issues.
- Carry out cost analysis and provide accurate financial information to support project decisions.
- Maintain compliance with company procedures, financial controls, and reporting standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or another relevant field is required.
- At least 6 years of experience in cost engineering or cost control on Oil & Gas projects is needed.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI is essential.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, invoice handling, and cost reporting is expected.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities are required.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- The ability to operate effectively in a multicultural project setting is important.
