Overview
Enel X Dublin operates the world’s largest virtual power plant, backed by 9.5GW of flexible load and supported by a 24/7/365 Global Network Operations Centre. The team is growing and is looking to add more control room operators.
Enel X works across electricity markets worldwide, helping customers realise the value of energy management through solutions such as demand response, energy procurement and advisory, utility bill management, and energy intelligence software.
Compensation
The annual salary for this role is €47,500.

About the role
This is a distinctive operational position that includes three months of hands-on training. You will be expected to stay calm and effective when handling rare but high-pressure, business-critical situations. The role involves helping shape and refine operating procedures across several programs, and becoming highly proficient in executing dispatch requests from Transmission System Operators.
You will also build knowledge around grid constraints, load curtailment, frequency regulation, and emergency backup generation. This role is well suited to someone with an interest in energy or clean technology.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out demand response events.
- Track market conditions and pricing movements.
- Support portfolio operations on a global scale.
- Follow the correct checklists and operating procedures for every task.
- Maintain process records, shift logs, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate customer issues and system or device problems, or escalate them when needed.

Additional information
This position involves shift-based work and requires a combination of day, night, and weekend coverage. A physical examination will be part of the hiring process.
