Role overview
Airbnb is hiring a Content Specialist on a contract basis to join the Media Ops team within the Scaled Ops department. This team works across copywriting, merchandising, and other creative functions to help onboard hotel partners efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
In this position, you will partner with the Content Ops Lead and the broader Media Ops team to create and review content for hotel property pages. Because partner connectivity differs by hotel group, you will need to quickly understand each setup, stay ahead of requirements, and support the team in scaling hotel content without compromising quality.
The ideal person for this role is highly detail-focused, comfortable managing several workstreams at once, and eager to learn quickly across changing partner setups. A collaborative mindset, adaptability, and comfort using AI-assisted tools are important for success.
Responsibilities
- Adjust your workflow based on each partner’s connectivity model, acting as a reviewer where integrations are in place and completing full builds where they are not.
- Develop a strong understanding of partner-specific setups so you can anticipate needs in advance.
- Flag repeated blockers, content gaps, and partner-specific issues to the Content Ops Lead on an ongoing basis.
- Handle several property builds at the same time while keeping quality and accuracy high.
- Create room-level copy for hotel property pages in line with the structure and quality expectations set by the Media Ops team.
- Use AI prompts to draft, polish, and refine room descriptions and related copy, then verify the final output for tone and correctness.
- Organize and tag photography at both the property and room level.
- Help maintain a positive, cooperative work environment that supports teamwork and productivity.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in content production, editorial work, marketing, hospitality, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written English with strong command of grammar, spelling, usage, and punctuation.
- Comfort using AI-supported writing tools and a willingness to learn prompting techniques for drafting and refining content.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage structured workflows and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in text and imagery.
- Basic familiarity with photo organization and tagging.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace; experience with Airtable, Salesforce, or similar content tools is an advantage.
- Hospitality, travel, or e-commerce background is preferred but not mandatory.
- Positive, team-first attitude with an interest in hospitality and creating welcoming experiences for a global audience.
Belonging and accommodations
Airbnb is committed to reaching talent from a wide range of backgrounds and believes diverse perspectives strengthen innovation and engagement. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Compensation and benefits
The pay rate is $36 to $44 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
