About the mission
LiveWell Dorset is focused on improving the health and wellbeing of people across Dorset. Its work aims to narrow health inequalities, support longer healthy lives, and help local health services use resources more efficiently and sustainably.
The service has received national recognition as an inventive way to help people change everyday habits and live more healthily. It delivers support at scale for individuals and communities that can benefit most, helping people become more active, drink less alcohol, stop smoking, maintain a healthy weight, and enabling system partners to play their part in preventing ill health.
About you
The ideal person for this role is a capable and committed communications professional who feels motivated by the goal of helping people lead healthier lives.
You should be comfortable working within an established brand style and able to reflect the LiveWell voice consistently across the materials you create.
You will thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy contributing to shared successes, and be confident proposing practical ideas when challenges arise.
Strong organisation is essential, as is the ability to adapt quickly when work needs to be turned around at speed.
You should also be able to tailor communication for different audiences and understand that not every message works in the same way for every group.
The role
- Assist with developing content for both internal and national campaigns.
- Create marketing assets for distribution, such as posters and flyers.
- Support the development and delivery of the communications plan.
- Update and manage website content.
- Review data, produce reports, and respond to new information as it comes in.
- Post and schedule content across social media channels.
- Keep the resource library organised and up to date.
- Edit newsletters and help with their design.
- Work alongside teams and external partners so they have the promotional materials they need.
