Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Civil position based in Harare. The role supports ICT infrastructure projects by coordinating with technical teams on the installation and upkeep of equipment, helping with site surveys and layout planning for hardware, networking, and telecom deployments, and contributing to smooth on-ground operations.
Key Duties
The position involves day-to-day support for infrastructure activities, including preparing basic project records, tracking work progress at site, and making sure safety and quality requirements are followed. You will also work with internal teams to help resolve operational challenges, coordinate with suppliers and service providers, and keep accurate documentation of materials and equipment. The role contributes to ongoing improvements in infrastructure-related processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Capability to assist with ICT infrastructure projects, including coordination of equipment installation and maintenance across computer hardware, networking devices, and telecom tools.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking fundamentals such as servers, cabling, routers, and switches, along with a willingness to learn the company’s products and services.
- Strong planning and record-keeping abilities, including monitoring project activity, maintaining logs, and preparing simple reports and site documents.
- Good communication and collaboration skills for working professionally with technical teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Careful attention to detail, respect for safety and quality procedures, and the ability to follow on-site instructions and guidelines.
- A qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required; experience in infrastructure or facilities-related work is an added advantage.
- Must be able to work on-site in Harare, with a dependable, punctual approach and readiness to support field operations when needed.
