Civil Engineering Internship

About the internship

This six-month, full-time, in-office internship is offered by an IIT Madras-incubated startup focused on underwater inspection and survey robotics. The role is suited to Civil Engineering students who want hands-on exposure to structural analysis, QA/QC, reporting, drawing preparation, and data handling in a technology-driven marine robotics environment.

What you will do

• Review, validate, and refine videos captured from field activities.
• Learn methods used for analyzing underwater structural defects and help put them into practice.
• Organize and maintain both operational and non-operational datasets.
• Carry out basic tasks in MS Office and HTML.
• Draft product reports by gathering, evaluating, and condensing relevant information.
• Create structural drawings using AutoCAD.

Who can apply

This internship is open to candidates who can commit to a full-time, on-site schedule, start between 4 Jul 2026 and 8 Aug 2026, stay for 6 months, and have the relevant skills and interest. Applicants should be Civil Engineering students.

Additional requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
• The candidate should be ready to take on a six-month, full-time internship.
• Working knowledge of structural design, QA practices, AutoCAD, and MS Excel is expected.

About the company

The organization is an IIT Madras-incubated startup that builds submerged robotic inspection and survey solutions. It develops domestically manufactured underwater robots, including remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and delivers automated inspection systems with custom platform design and fabrication, integrated sensing, diagnostics, marine robotics, and post-inspection analysis tools.

Stipend
