Charge Hand

About the Role

NZ Post is embarking on an ambitious future and is seeking a Charge Hand to join their team in Palmerston North. This permanent, full-time position operates on a Monday to Friday night shift from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. The role involves ensuring efficient and safe operations within the processing team, supporting staff, and meeting key performance indicators for sorting courier products, parcels, and mail. A commitment to excellence and a proactive approach are essential for maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the sorting of courier products, parcels, and mail to meet established KPIs and criteria.
• Collaborate with the Processing Team Leader to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations during the shift.
• Provide support and clear direction to the team members.
• Execute daily warehouse tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an operational environment.
• Ability to lift 20-25kgs in a physically demanding setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and support a diverse team.
• A fork-hoist license (F endorsed or Osh approved) is desirable.
