Role Summary

The CAD Designer will support Project Managers with layout-related work, including project layout development, specification review, and drawing control. This position plays an important part in turning project concepts into practical, buildable documents and supporting project delivery from planning through construction.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate with Project Managers to produce and refine project layout documentation. The position involves helping build bid packages, construction packages, and as-built packages, while ensuring layouts support safety, forklift and operator access, maintenance access, and an attractive overall design. You will also visit customer sites to confirm existing field conditions, which involves about 10% to 15% travel. In addition, you will work with OEMs to collect equipment footprint information and assess operator and layout feasibility. The role requires frequent interaction with clients, OEM contacts, and internal team members to keep projects moving and to develop ideas effectively. You should also be able to identify opportunities for improvement and flag issues in OEM drawings and layouts.
