Business Intelligence Analyst

Role overview

Spait Infotech is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support data-driven decision-making by turning raw business information into clear reporting and actionable insights. The role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is structured as a full-time onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Collect data from several business systems and translate it into meaningful analysis.
• Create, update, and manage dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking tools.
• Build visual reports using BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Develop and fine-tune SQL queries to retrieve and examine data efficiently.
• Spot patterns, trends, and business improvement opportunities through analysis.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to clarify reporting and analytics needs.
• Help maintain data quality and support accuracy checks across reporting outputs.
• Summarize findings and present recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to one-off analysis requests and special reporting assignments.

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline is required.
• Applicants should have 1 to 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, Reporting, or a comparable function.
• Advanced SQL ability is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other comparable BI tools is needed.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel is expected.
• Working knowledge of data modeling and database fundamentals is important.
• The role calls for solid analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
