Role Summary

The Business Development Manager for Market Growth will lead Lyra’s expansion in Singapore’s Employee Assistance Program and corporate wellness market. This role is focused on increasing market share, shaping local go-to-market direction, winning enterprise business, and growing reach across SME and retail segments.

The position requires managing complex sales cycles, developing partnerships with global benefits brokers, and aligning Lyra’s offerings with Singapore’s Tripartite guidance on mental health. The role is based onsite in Singapore and requires flexibility to work outside regular hours to coordinate with teams across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute the Singapore market growth plan and local go-to-market strategy.
  • Analyze the market continuously to identify whitespace, competitor gaps, and new opportunities in corporate wellness.
  • Adapt Lyra’s EAP and wellbeing messaging so it fits local business culture and addresses mental health stigma in the Asian workplace.
  • Own annual sales planning, revenue goals, and strategy adjustments using data-backed insights.
  • Source and close enterprise EAP opportunities with multinational companies, large local enterprises, and government-linked companies.
  • Advise senior stakeholders such as CHROs, Total Rewards leaders, and procurement teams on business value, clinical outcomes, and return on investment.
  • Manage the full sales process, including RFPs, RFIs, pricing discussions, and customized solution presentations.
  • Create and grow partnerships with employee benefits brokers and local health insurance intermediaries.
  • Train and motivate broker partners so they understand and actively promote Lyra’s value proposition.
  • Drive adoption of simple, scalable EAP and wellbeing packages for SMEs and retail businesses.
  • Commercialize learning and development offerings such as manager mental health training, resilience sessions, and psychological first-aid programs.
  • Support handover of closed deals to Client Success while staying involved as executive sponsor for key accounts to support renewals and expansion.
  • Represent Lyra at industry events and forums in Singapore.
  • Stay current on Ministry of Manpower and Workplace Safety and Health Council expectations related to workplace mental health.

Requirements

  • At least 5-8+ years of experience in B2B business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships in Singapore.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, healthcare, HR tech, or EAP markets in Singapore.
  • Existing, active relationships with employee benefits consultants and insurance brokers in the region.
  • Proven ability to manage long enterprise sales cycles lasting 6-12 months and negotiate high-value contracts.
  • Comfort working in a role that may require flexible hours to support international collaboration.
  • Helpful exposure to regional data privacy rules such as Singapore PDPA, especially in healthcare or employee-data contexts.
  • Experience scaling a technology-enabled healthcare or wellness solution in a new market is preferred.

Additional Information

This role is designed to help Lyra grow its presence in Singapore through direct sales, broker partnerships, and SME-focused offerings. Key performance measures include new recurring revenue from enterprise and retail EAP clients, the share of qualified opportunities generated through partner channels, growth in the number of covered corporate lives, and improvements in sales cycle speed.
