Role overview
This full-time on-site cleaning position is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba at CGW2, 1455 Mountain Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2X 2Y9, Canada. The role reports to the Building Operator and focuses on keeping the facility clean, orderly, and safe across office, cafeteria, kitchen, production, and washroom areas. The shift is 8 hours during standard operating hours, with occasional weekend work when required.

Key duties
- Clean desks, tables, equipment surfaces, fixtures, boardrooms, kitchen areas, and other commonly used touchpoints, including door handles, faucets, and appliances.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the building.
- Restock daily-use supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, cleaning materials, and coffee machine supplies.
- Wash interior windows, walls, and ceilings as needed.
- Dust all areas of the site thoroughly.
- Sanitize washrooms completely, including mirrors, sinks, fixtures, and handles.
- Collect, remove, and dispose of garbage, recycling, and debris from the building.
- Keep cafeterias and kitchens clean and organized.
- Load the compactor, recycling bins, waste bins, and wood bin.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- WHMIS and MSDC certifications are considered an advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience cleaning offices, manufacturing sites, or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Ability to follow directions, identify problems, and act independently toward a solution.
- Comfort working independently as well as with a team, including cross-functional groups.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, crouch, and remain standing for the full shift.
- Willingness to wear safety shoes throughout the shift.
- Ability to learn and operate commercial cleaning equipment such as power washers and step tools.
- Comfort using chemical cleaning products safely.
- Ability to work efficiently, maintain pace, and manage time well.
- Basic English reading and communication skills, including understanding health and safety signage.
Working conditions
The work takes place in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with some noise. Cleaning duties may cover office areas, kitchens, cafeterias, the production floor, and washrooms. The environment may also include downtime periods during which cleaning tasks are completed.
