Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Barista position based in Al Khobar, with mention of service locations in Dammam and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, including specialty coffee and tea, while keeping taste, presentation, and consistency at a high standard. The barista will also welcome guests, record orders, use coffee machines, prepare simple food items, maintain a tidy station, manage payments through cash or POS, and follow hygiene and food-safety practices. Supporting the team during rush hours and creating a friendly café experience are also key parts of the job.

Key Duties

• Make a range of hot and cold drinks, including specialty coffee and tea, with consistent quality and presentation.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and related café equipment correctly and safely.
• Greet customers, take orders accurately, and answer questions about menu items.
• Prepare light food items as needed and help maintain service flow.
• Process payments through cash or POS systems with accuracy.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for service.
• Replenish supplies and coordinate with colleagues during busy periods.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness standards at all times.
• Provide attentive, courteous service that helps build a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Practical barista experience, including use of espresso machines, grinders, and similar coffee equipment.
• Good customer service and people skills for a friendly and respectful guest experience.
• Clear communication skills for taking orders, working with teammates, and following directions.
• Basic food preparation ability along with knowledge of hygiene and food-safety practices.
• Prior work in a café, bakery, or hospitality setting is an advantage.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working through busy service times.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Dependable, punctual, and careful with beverage quality and workstation cleanliness.
• Basic numeracy and familiarity with POS or cash handling; conversational English and Arabic are helpful.
